Benefit Beauty Review

Us girls at Fashion Visuals are bananas about Benefit cosmetics! It was love at first sight when we first found out about this make-up range encased in a pretty packaging. We bet that many of you will probably have bought a Benefit product based solely on the packaging, that’s exactly how our obsession with the brand started!

The Benebabes at the majority of Benefit counters in your local Boots, Debenhams and House of Fraser stores are fantastic and will give you a complimentary makeover, tell you tips on the best application processes and may even give you some free samples!

Whilst Benefit is more expensive than your average high street makeup brand, we definitely think it’s worth it! Our latest splurge resulted in us picking up a cream blusher, a foundation and a facial moisturiser. Read on to see what we think about these products…

Fine One-One RRP £23.50

This cheek and lip brightener is one of the latest products by Benefit and acts like as a cream blusher or lipstick. Firstly, we were drawn in by the packaging and the three lovely shades that come with it. The Fine One-One is designed to give you an instant lift, shape and pop which we certainly agree with. The three shades give you a bit of everything and glide across the apple of the cheeks quite effortlessly. We recommend users to apply to each cheek with the same amount of pressure for an even distribution.

Our rating: 3/5

Whilst the product is visually stunning and the colours are really pretty, the stick tends to delve in to the shape of your cheek after several uses which will result in an uneven application. We also think the product would be better if it had a built in sponge to blend it in.

Hello Flawless RRP £24.50

We were drawn to this brightening liquid foundation as is promised to be oil-free, hydrating to the skin and offered a SPF 25. We were first introduced to this by one of the Benebabes in Boots at the Metro Centre, Newcastle and were given a makeover using the ivory shade. We felt the foundation was lightweight, provided a natural look and lasted all day! There are also 9 shades available so most women will be able to find the perfect shade for their skin.

Our rating: 4/5

Hello Flawless is one of the best foundations we have tried so far! It’s very lightweight and doesn’t leave your face feeling cakey or clogged up, giving you a natural look. The only let down is the coverage could be better.

Triple Performing Facial Emulsion RRP £19.50

When we purchased the Fine One-One, we were given a free sample of this facial emulsion and couldn’t resist after we had tried it! This Benefit moisturiser helps to hydrate your skin and keep it feeling fresh with its oil free formula. The lightweight moisturiser also has a SPF 15 to help protect your skin from harmful rays. The formula is also lightly scented to give a fresh and vibrant finish.

Our rating: 5/5

We thoroughly enjoyed using this facial emulsion and would definitely buy it again. The product makes your face feel fresh and revived and the scent is lovely!
